Hi Refuge friends,
I wanted to take a moment to share a couple of exciting updates! This month, Refuge Financial Solutions was nominated and advanced to the final voting round in the Best of Pueblo Community's Choice Awards (for the second consecutive year)! You can find more info and vote here starting on August 3rd. I also learned that the Better Business Bureau has upgraded Refuge to an A+ rating, a milestone that’s only possible after being in business for a certain amount of years.
I'm truly honored by both of these recognitions. Since starting Refuge, my goal has simply been to genuinely help people by providing a safe place—a refuge—for those looking for trustworthy financial guidance and insurance solutions to the problems they face. Thank you for trusting me and allowing Refuge to be part of your journey. I hope you enjoy this month's Refuge Refresh!

One day, the man got so into his gorilla act that he accidentally fell into the lion enclosure next to him. “Help, help!” he screamed. The lion ran over and whispered, “Dude, shut up before you get us both fired.” 😂

Social Security Timing Analysis
I’m always on the hunt for more ways to help clients. For that reason, I’ve begun utilizing the Covisum Social Security Timing software with clients that are considering their options when it comes to turning on Social Security benefits. The analysis creates a report comparing suggested and alternative claim dates while including compelling visuals and explanations. I think it’s a great tool that will allow Refuge to help many people. If you (or someone you know) could benefit from this tool, let me know! I’m not charging anything for an analysis (at least at this point).

Medicare GLP-1 Program
This one could be important for those of you on Medicare. Medicare is now helping eligible beneficiaries access certain GLP-1 weight-loss medications through its new GLP-1 Bridge Program. Qualifying individuals with Part D coverage can receive approved medications for just $50 per month through the program, which is currently scheduled to run through the end of 2027. Current Events
Trump Accounts are here!
The new Trump Accounts officially launched this month, giving eligible U.S. children under 18 access to a tax-advantaged investment account for long-term savings. Parents or guardians can get started by visiting TrumpAccounts.gov or downloading the official Trump Accounts app to create and manage an account. Families may contribute up to $5,000 per year, and eligible children born between 2025 and 2028 can also receive the government's $1,000 seed contribution to help jump-start their future.
